Punjab Public Service Commission announces final results for 200 Agriculture Development Officer posts
The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced the final results for the recruitment of 200 Agriculture Development Officers (ADO) (Group A) in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Punjab. The results were declared late on December 13.
Sharing the details, Jatinder Singh Aulukh, Chairman, PPSC, stated that a total of 6,820 candidates had applied for the written examination, which was conducted on June 30. The Combined Merit List and Category-Wise Merit Lists have now been uploaded on the official PPSC website: www.ppsc.gov.in.
Aulukh further emphasised that the recruitment process was conducted in a completely fair and impartial manner, ensuring transparency at every stage.
The examination had remained embroiled in controversy following allegations of paper leak.
However, PPSC in July had junked the allegations of paper leak following an internal probe.
Aulakh had refuted the allegations of paper leak and maintained that the internal investigation found them baseless.
ADO examination paper leak allegations found no involvement of any Agriculture Department official, the probe stated.
The matter was highlighted when one of the aspirants had lodged a complaint of paper leak with the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) three days before the examination.
Ajay Singh Jakhar, a tutor who runs a coaching institute, had posted a video on social media and levelled allegations of paper leak. He had claimed that an aspirant for the post of ADO had raised the issue and registered a complaint with the CMO.
Jakhar had claimed that he knew the students who had lodged the complaint with the CMO.
The complaint was made through an anonymous email ID.
