Chandigarh, April 17

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led ministerial teams visit to national capital to study government schools and Mohalla clinics scheduled for Monday has been postponed.

Mann along with state education and health ministers was supposed to visit Delhi to ‘study improvements’  the Aam Aadmi Party regime had brought in, as per earlier programme released by the party. The party, however, later informed that the visit had been postponed. However, no reason has been given.

Last week, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said his Punjab counterpart Mann and his staff would visit Delhi government schools to see the “remarkable improvement”.

His remarks came days after Opposition parties alleged that the Punjab Government was being run through “remote control” from Delhi after Kejriwal held a meeting in the National Capital with the state’s top bureaucrats in the absence of Mann.

Addressing an event in the National Capital, Kejriwal said his government had improved government schools to such an extent that people from across the globe are coming to see these “remarkable changes”.

Recently, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin came to see Delhi government schools, he said.
