Provide basic civic amenities to residents: Amargarh MLA Gajjanmajra to sarpanches
Amargarh legislator Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra urged office-bearers of all rural bodies to ensure basic civic amenities for the residents.
Safe drinking water, solid waste management and proper sanitation were cited as the foremost priority to be fixed by sarpanches falling under Amargarh and Ahmedgarh subdivisions.
Gajjanmajra said the poorest among poor should get best civic amenities. “I believe that success of a government depends on the integrity and diligence of constituents of panchayats and municipal councils,” said Gajjanmajra, adding that all civic bodies would get adequate grants.
Identifying solid waste and sewage management as biggest challenges for civic bodies, Gajjanmajra said a coordinated action needs to be taken to tackle the crisis.
Gajjanmajra distributed grants worth Rs 1.65 lakh among 11 beneficiaries for construction of toilets at their homes under the Swachh Bharat Gramin Mission.
