Students of the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) continued with their protest, calling for the removal of Vice-Chancellor Prof Jai Shankar Singh.

They accused him of making inappropriate comments about their attire and entering the girls’ hostel without intimation last Sunday. The VC has refuted the allegations, but the students continue to protest demanding his resignation.

Patiala MP Dr Dharamavira Gandhi joined the protesting students in demanding the resignation of the VC. He said he fully supported the rightful demands of the students. “The students were left with no option, but to protest after the university authorities tried to ignore the issue. I stand committed to the cause of the students,” he said.
