Hoshiarpur, December 18

Terming the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as the ‘modern East India Company’, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi today said those dreaming of forming the government in Punjab by coming from outside will not succeed in their endeavour.

They were trying to mislead the people of Punjab by making false promises, he said while addressing a rally organised by MLA Sunder Sham Arora here. Earlier, addressing the rally, former PCC chief Sunil Jakhar alleged conspiracies were being hatched by the Centre against the state. During the farm stir, they were at times referred to as “Khalistanis and terrorists”, he claimed.
