Sangrur, June 15

Opposition leaders are scared of CM Bhagwant Mann’s leadership owing to the government’s tough stance against the mafia, claimed Cabinet Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa today.

Jimpa, while addressing a press meet here in support of AAP candidate Gurmail Singh said: “Opposition leaders don’t want to see an end to corruption and mafia rule in Punjab. But people are aware of their designs and will support the AAP this time too.”

He claimed Mann as an MP brought many development projects to Sangrur, but the then state government created hurdles without any valid reasons. “Now that there was AAP government in the state, the area will see all-round development once the party candidate wins the Sangrur Lok Sabha bypoll. Gurmail will get full support of the government,” he added.
