Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal today refuted the allegations that the PM Modi-led government had been discriminating Punjab in welfare schemes.

During a brief stay in Abohar on his way to Sadulshehar, Meghwal said Punjabis and their heritage was etched in the heart of PM Modi.

He asserted that the Centre was always striving to provide maximum support to the people of Punjab. Due to agricultural base and special affinity for the people, the Centre had increased the minimum support price for several crops, he said.
