The CIA wing, Mahorana, has nabbed a foreign national with a substantial quantity of heroin suspected to be distributed among drug peddlers in the region. The price of 505 gm of contraband recovered from the suspect is estimated to be worth Rs 3 crore on the international market.

The suspect has been identified as Godwin Samuel, a resident of Olikwu Town in Nigeria and at present residing at Tilak Nagar in New Delhi. Malerkotla SSP Gagan Ajit Singh said cops supervised by DSP (D) Satish Kumar had nabbed the suspect when he was going in an Uber taxi to deliver a consignment of heroin to some drug peddlers, yet to be identified.

“It was on Sunday afternoon when cops led by Mahorana CIA in-charge Harjinder Singh intercepted a foreign national near under-construction Delhi Katra Expressway during a naka set up for checking suspicious vehicles. When searched, 505 gm of heroin was recovered from the suspect's possession,” said Gagan Ajit Singh.
