After a video of BJP candidate Manpreet Singh Badal allegedly offering jobs to youngsters in the armed forces, central government departments and state’s Transport Department went viral on the social media, PCC chief-cum-Ludhiana MP Amrinder Singh Raja Warring today claimed that the BJP leader was just befooling the people.

Fooling public

This man (Manpreet) lost the election from Bathinda by over 60,000 votes and is now trying to fool the public in Gidderbaha with his fake promises. He has failed to deliver on all fronts in Bathinda. People should not trust him. Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, PCC chief

Warring said, “This man (Manpreet) lost the election from Bathinda with over 60,000 votes and is now trying to fool the public in Gidderbaha with his fake promises. He has failed to deliver on all fronts in Bathinda. People should not trust him.”

Notably, in the video, Manpreet is saying, “If someone has applied in any central department like the ITBP, BSF, CRPF or the Railways, I can get you recruited there...”

Later, Manpreet claimed, “I have not promised any undue benefit to any job seeker. I just told the public at Gurusar village that if any youngster fulfils the criteria and needs any guidance, I am always available. And those who want to get recruited in the armed forces, I can get them admitted to the Centre for Training and Employment of Punjab Youth (C-PYTE).”

On this, AAP candidate Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon said, “Manpreet is now just changing his statement. However, when Manpreet was in power, he did not help any youngster get a government job.”
