A resident of Fatehpur Manian village in Lambi Assembly segment here allegedly died due to overdose of drugs on Wednesday.

The deceased, Gurpreet Singh, alias Gopi, was working in Gurugram, who had come to his village a few days ago.

His mother Sarabjeet Kaur has lodged a police complaint in this regard.

In her complaint, the mother of the deceased alleged that Shubhdeep Singh and Sharanjeet Singh of the same village had taken his son to a place in a vehicle on Wednesday.

“Later, in the evening, Lovedeep Singh of our village and Ravinder Singh of Danewala village brought the body of my son to our residence. My son was not a drug addict and he was given an overdose of drugs, which claimed his life,” alleged Sarabjeet Kaur in her complaint to the police.

Meanwhile, the Lambi police have registered a case in this regard.
