Due to heavy rain this afternoon, the entire city was waterlogged. The streets of the city were filled with water, which caused a lot of trouble for the commuters. In some of the low-lying markets here, water entered the shops.

The rain started at around 2 pm and continued for an hour. The streets of the city were filled with about 1 to 1.5 feet of water. Schoolchildren were troubled as it was difficult for them to negotiate their way through the waterlogged streets as they returned home. A school van owner, Mahabir, said rainwater affected most school vehicles. Hundreds of children were seen wading through the rainwater to get to their homes.

The tehsil complex, which was cleared of water from the previous rain, was once again inundated, due to which the people who had come to get work done faced a lot of difficulty. Apart from this, there was a lot of water in the Patwar Khana, the government hospital, and other buildings.

Due to the recent rains, the roofs of many houses had collapsed; however, no survey has been conducted to compensate the affected families.
