KZF claims responsibility for attack on Sena leader’s house in Ludhiana
A day after three unidentified bike-borne miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at the house of Shiv Sena Hind Sikh Sangat wing president Harkirat Singh Khurana here, the Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack. The KZF reportedly sent an email to some journalists claiming the responsibility for petrol bomb attacks on Hindu leaders.
The Ludhiana police have, however, not taken the development seriously as police officials claimed until the authenticity of the email is established, they have no concern about it.
The petrol bomb hurled at the house of Sena leader had hit its main gate, causing a minor fire.
Additional DCP Ramandeep Singh Bhullar told The Tribune that the investigation was on and various angles were being explored to get clue about the suspects. More than 200 CCTV cameras installed in and at all exit points of Ludhiana were scanned and the police have got some vital clues about the suspects. “We have some leads about the escape route of the suspects and several teams have been deployed to apprehend them. Since the crime was committed in the dark, it’s a bit challenging for the police to identify the motorcycle or its registration number,” Bhullar added.
“Over the past few days, petrol bombs were hurled at the houses of Hindu leaders. They should take it as a warning. If they don’t stop indulging in anti-Sikh activities, they will have to face the consequences,” states the email claiming the responsibility for the attack. The email, however, does not mention the names of Hindu leaders Yogesh Bakshi and Harkirat Khurana, whose houses were attacked with bombs.
Meanwhile, Sena leader Khurana said the KZF had sent emails to some journalists claiming responsibility for the recent petrol bomb attacks. He had not received any such email from the KZF, he added. He, however, got a message from some foreign-based number immediately after the attack on his house and the sender only said they had done what they had warned of.
