Punjab Horticulture Minister Chetan Singh Jouramajra today held a meeting with Freddy Svane, Ambassador of the Royal Danish Embassy in New Delhi.

During the high-level talks on strengthening mutual relations and exploring potential business collaborations between Punjab and Denmark, Chetan Singh Jouramajra and Ambassador Svane engaged in a comprehensive dialogue, exchanging insights on various sectors of mutual interest.

Both stressed upon fostering bilateral ties and leveraging the strengths of their respective regions. The discussions were held on potential areas for cooperation, including sustainable agriculture and innovative horticultural practices, food processing, biogas development, groundwater management, efficient irrigation, water conservation techniques and dairy sector cooperation.

The Horticulture Minister, while highlighting Punjab’s rich agricultural heritage and its ongoing efforts to modernise the horticulture sector, said that government is taking all possible steps to make the state prosperous. Jouramajra said that the focus on biogas development, groundwater management and efficient irrigation will align well with both regions’ commitments to sustainable development and environmental conservation.

Ambassador Svane shared Denmark’s expertise in sustainable farming techniques, renewable energy solutions and water management. He expressed keen interest in potential partnerships across the discussed sectors.
