In a first, women panches show more enthusiasm during swearing-in ceremony in Malerkotla

This is the for the first time that women panches have emerged most enthusiastic during the joint swearing-in ceremony being held on the Malerkotla Ludhiana road here on Tuesday.

Besides enjoying hospitality offered by officials led by Deputy Commissioner Pallavi, the recently elected panches uploaded their selfies on social media platforms, letting the outer world know about their achievements.

The ‘selfie point’ with slogan ‘Mein Panch Han’ remained busy with more women waiting for their turn to get clicked.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
