Himanshu Jain joins as Ropar DC

Himanshu Jain, a 2017 batch IAS officer, took over as the Deputy Commissioner this afternoon. Jain, who was serving as the Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister before the appointment, will also continue that role.

Jain took over from Dr Preeti Yadav, who transeferred to Patiala. He instructed officials to provide public interest services within fixed time limits. “On the instructions of the Punjab Government, transparency, continuity and speed in government works will be brought and timely and good administrative services will be provided to the residents,” Jain said.

He also urged residents to cooperate with the administration for development of the district.
