Sunny Deol says agricultural ordinances will help farmers get better price

Gurdaspur MP Sunny Deol on Friday came out in support of the contentious agriculture ordinances which have met with widespread protests from farmers.

In a tweet, Deol said that farmers will be able to get a better price for their produce, sell it at a place of their choosing and might be able to increase trade after the new bills come into effect.

Farmers have alleged the Central Government has issued three anti-farm ordinances, namely The Farming Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Ordinance, The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Ordinance and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Ordinance, on June 5.
