The police claimed to have seized three country-made pistols, eight cartridges and a kirpan from four persons.

The accused have been identified as Jagseer Singh of Sangrur, Manpreet Singh, alias Manna of Moga, Jashandeep Singh and Manpreet Singh, alias Rohit, both residents of Ludhiana district. A case has been registered.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
