Ex-IAS officer to probe plaint against forest conservator

Financial Commissioner, Forest and Wildlife, Ajoy Sharma has deputed former IAS officer Karnail Singh to conduct a probe into a complaint that Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) RK Mishra withheld four-month salary of IFS officer Monica Yadav.

In her complaint, Yadav has alleged that despite her transfer from the DFO, Sangrur, to the Punjab Forest Development Corporation being stayed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, her salary for four months in 2023 was not paid.

On her complaint, the state government had sought a reply from the PCCF. On finding the reply unsatisfactory, the Financial Commissioner has now marked the inquiry to Karnail Singh.
