Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami today appeared before the Punjab State Women’s Commission in connection with the alleged defamatory remarks against SAD leader Bibi Jagir Kaur recently.

Chairperson Raj Lalli Gill said Dhami's advocate had filed a letter, and he came here to meet me and regretted his remarks. Gill said she had spoken to Bibi Jagir Kaur earlier, who had also expressed her displeasure over it.

"Mere apologising does not absolve him of the act," Gill had said, adding that she would discuss the reply furnished by Dhami with the commission and further proceed in the matter accordingly.
