Representatives of a large number of gurdwara committees from the UK banned Sikh preachers Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale and Harinder Singh and Nirvair Khalsa Jatha from holding any “gurmat” programmes from their stages.
Sarchand Singh, spokesperson, Damdami Taksal, in a press release issued here today, claimed that the decision was unanimously taken during a meeting held at the Guru Har Rai Sahib Gurdwara in the UK.
He said different resolutions were passed in the meeting, including banning of Dhadrianwale and Nirvair Khalsa Jatha from all gurdwaras in the UK till the time they appeared before Akal Takht. The Sikh sangat had been requested not to book any of them for any event or to share any posts related to them on social media, he said, adding that the Sikh media had also been directed not to give any exposure to these groups.
A recent video of Harinder on social media had caused resentment among the Sikh sangat.
