Dangar Khera school girl third in ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshth Bharat’ contest
Dangar Khera, about eight km from Abohar, has once again come into limelight. Gunjan Verma, a student of class VIII of Government Senior Secondary School, Dangar Khera, has secured third place in the state-level drawing competition under the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshth Bharat 2024-25’ competition.
Gunjan was honoured with Rs 5,000 prize money, citation and trophy by Punjab’s Director General of School Education (DGSE) Vinay Bablani at the SCERT, Mohali, for her achievement.
Two teachers of the school Monica Jagga and Amandeep Kaur were also presented appreciation certificates. Principal of the school Dharampal Jalap called Gunjan Verma on phone and congratulated her and also praised the teachers whose hard work had brought glory to the school and the village.
Interestingly, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann at a function in Sukhchain village near Abohar a few days back had suggested that Dangar Khera should be renamed as Adhyapak Khera.
