The Theka Mulazam Sangharsh Union on Thursday showed black flags to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann at Kaoni village when the cavalcade was moving from there.

Some protesters were detained and taken to different police stations.

The protesters claimed that the CM had given them assurances in the past that he would meet them, which did not happen.

"We demand regularisation of our service and have been lodging protest for long. We showed black flags to the CM and the cops detained a number of our colleagues. If they are not released soon, we will block the highway," said Kesar Singh, a leader of the contractual employees.
