The Minister for School and Higher Education, Harjot Singh Bains, claimed that the AAP government was the first to take significant steps in upgrading the standard of education in Punjab.

He said that this had been achieved through gathering feedback from various stakeholders, including education department authorities, school officials and students.

Speaking at a gathering of teachers at the Urdu Academy in Malerkotla, Bains emphasised, “We are working tirelessly to provide quality education and infrastructure in government schools, enabling students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to compete on equal terms with those from private schools.”
