Shiromani Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Sunday alleged that both the Centre and the Opposition are hand in glove as far as disrupting the proceedings of the House is concerned, which results in issues related to states like Punjab getting sidelined.

Speaking to mediapersons after the all-party meeting on eve of the Winter Session’s commencement, Kaur said that though she raised several issues related to Punjab like MSP to farmers and forced acquisition of their lands for Bharatmala projects in the meeting, these may get sidelined amid the likely din in Lok Sabha over issues like Adani’s indictment in bribe allegations and violence in Manipur.

“The Opposition is going to raise issues of Adani (his indictment in alleged bribery scandal) and Manipur violence in Parliament. And when these issues will begin to die down, then the Waqf Bill issue will be raised. I feel that there seems to be an understanding between Centre and Opposition to halt the House proceedings. The onus to run the House is on the Centre,” the Bathinda MP said.
