The border outposts along the zero line are being renamed after BSF men who sacrificed their lives during the India-Pakistan wars and other insurgency operations. This was stated by BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chaudhary who was here in connection with Raja Mohttam Day celebrations.

Addressing the media, Chaudhary said he was pleased to visit the Hussainiwala joint check post. Efforts would be made to transform this place into a tourism hub. He paid floral tribute to martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev and BK Dutt at the National Martyrs Memorial.

“The names of seven BOPs have been changed so far,” said the DG. The BSF jawans performed their duties in the spirit of force’s motto “Duty unto Death”, he added.
