Panic gripped Jalalabad after a blast took place here, killing a youth riding a motorcycle around 8 pm on Wednesday.

Balwinder Singh of Joga Nihalwala village in Ferozepur was going to meet his cousin in Jalalabad when a blast occurred in the motorcycle, ripping it into pieces. Balwinder, who suffered serious injuries, was shifted to the Jalalabad Civil Hospital, from where he was referred to the Faridkot medical college. He, however, succumbed on the way to the hospital. SSP Deepak Hilori said the bike’s fuel tank may have caught fire, but they were looking at all angles, including terror. — OC
