Before tying knot, bridegroom files papers in Lambi segment
Hours before getting married, a resident of Lalbai Utri village in the Lambi Assembly segment, who was dressed up as a bridegroom, filed his nomination for the post of sarpanch today.
Tejinder Singh along with “baraatis” had to stand in a queue to file his papers at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Kheowali village.
Tejinder said, “I think there is no humanity left in the world. I have to tie a knot today, but neither officials nor those standing in the queue ahead of me allowed me to file papers before my turn.”
Tejinder’s brother Rajinder Singh said, “My brother’s ‘baraat’ (wedding procession) is going to Chak Radhewala village in Fazilka district. Five aspirants have filed nominations for the post of sarpanch, reserved for the SC, in our village.”
