Godowns of 2 traders ‘raided’

Amritsar: A team of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) from Delhi has allegedly raided the godowns of two cross border traders. Though DRI was tight lipped over the incident, an official confirmed the raids. Manav Taneja, one of the traders whose godown at Attari was allegedly raided, said it was a routine visit. TNS

Health camp for elderly

Sangrur: Minister Dr Baljit Kaur said the government was fully committed to the welfare of the elderly people in the state. The government has organized special camps for health check-up, pension registration and other facilities for the elderly people, she added. Food safety dept raids shops, dairies

Sangrur: Ahead of the festive season, the Food Safety Department conducted raids at various shops and took 14 samples of suspected adulterated products. “Samples of various items, including dairy and sweets, were to laboratory for testing,” said Assistant Commissioner (Food) Rakhi Vinayak. — TNS
