Two individuals allegedly attempted to extort money from Piyush Nagpal, the head of the Arhtiya Association in Abohar, leading to a violent confrontation. According to Nagpal’s statement, the incident occurred on Saturday around 5.30 pm when Jasveer Singh from Bhagsar village and Akshay from Khairpur confronted him. They demanded money, claiming he was earning a lot and when he refused, they physically assaulted him and threatened his life.

Nagpal reported the incident to the police, prompting the suspects to flee the scene. A case has been registered at city-1 police station under various sections of the BNS Act, including Sections 332 (C), 115 (2), 351 (2) and 3 (5). The police are currently investigating the matter.
