Sukhjinder Randhawa, GS Aujla seek action sought against Virsa Singh Valtoha

Gurdaspur MP and senior Congress leader Sukhjinder Randhawa has written to the DGP, Punjab Police, seeking action against Akali leader Virsa Singh Valtoha for allegedly threatening and causing mental agony to Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sabo.

In a letter to the DGP, Randhawa said the Akali leaders had not only hurt religious feeling of the Sikh community, but also questioned the highest religious institutions of the Sikhs.

He said the DGP should personally take cognisance of the video released last night by Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh, so that Valtoha could be punished for the despicable act.

Another Congress MP from Amritsar GS Aujla has urged Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who is also the Home Minister, to take appropriate action against the Akali leaders who was not respecting the dignity of Takht Sahib. Action against Valtoha would deter people from targeting dignity of Takht Jathedars in future, he added.
