Campaigning for Dr Ishank, who is in fray from the Chabbewal Assembly segment, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal today promised to establish a polytechnic college, small scale industry and supply of water from Bist Doab to

the farmers.

Addressing a gathering at the football ground in Jian village at Chabbewal, Kejriwal said, “I have come to seek your blessings for Dr Ishank. In the 2022 Assembly poll, you gave a historic mandate. In these two and a half years, we have made your power bills zero. This miracle has happened in just two AAP-ruled states.”

Accompanied by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Hoshiarpur MP Raj Kumar Chabbewal and Dr Ishank, Kejriwal added, “Elect AAP candidate with a thumping majority. I’ll get all your works done.”

He also promised to develop sports infrastructure to ensure that youth stay away from drugs, naming of Adampur to Garhshankar Road after Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and widening of all roads.

Taking a dig at the Congress, Kejriwal said, “Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal was earlier in a wrong party. Now, you’ve come to the right place. He’s a good man but the party was wrong. He was feeling suffocated there. In Congress – he couldn’t have got works done. You’ve made him win from the Hoshiarpur parliamentary constituency. Now, make Dr Ishank win from Chabbewal too.”

CM Mann said, “The media asked me on rescheduling of voting to November 20. I told them that earlier, the Congress candidate would have lost by 25,000 votes, now he would lose by 40,000. AAP leaders are habitual of working on the ground unlike other parties.”
