AAP volunteer killed in Mansa

Radhe Shyam, who was associated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), was allegedly killed due to personal enmity at Khaira Khurd village in Mansa district.

Shyam was actively campaigning in the panchayat poll. Family members of the deceased alleged that a police officer’s reader was behind the murder.

Abhay Godara of the same village said on October 1, he and Shyam had attended a meeting related to filing of nominations at Sarpanch Bhajan Lal’s house. He said Shyam left for his home in a car around 11:30 PM.

In the wee hours, Godara received a call from Shish Pal, informing him about Shyam’s body lying in the village ground.

Godara filed a complaint against nine people and claimed that an attempt to kill Shyam was made earlier as well.

Sardulgarh SHO said they had initiated the probe and would nab the accused at the earliest.
