AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday appealed to the public to vote for Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon, claiming the AAP would cover the deficit of the past 28 years in the next two-and-a-half years.

Addressing a rally at Satta Bazar here, Kejriwal said, “We are working 24 hour daily. Punjab’s voters gave 92 seats to AAP, which no political party has ever got in the state. It showed your anger for the two political parties in the state... Now, I appeal to you all to vote for Dimpy so that AAP can cover the deficit of the past 28 years (16 of Manpreet and 12 of Raja Warring as MLAs) in the next two-and-a-half years.”

“I promise you that the condition of roads, existing sewerage, water supply, village ponds, grain markets and the Civil Hospital will be improved. We have already made power supply (300 units per month) free in the state. Aam Aadmi Clinics have also been opened to provide free treatment to the needy,” he added.

Earlier, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the state government had so far given 48,000 jobs on merit to youngsters. Targeting PCC chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, he said, “Warring will not sleep tonight. I appeal to you all to give your contribution to the state government.”

Earlier, minister Aman Arora, AAP incharge for the Gidderbaha bypoll, said, “Those leaders (Manpreet and Raja Warring) who could not make their votes in Gidderbaha are asking the public to vote for them.”

Meanwhile, various unions of employees and farmers, including the BKU (Ekta-Ugrahan), Punjab Khet Mazdoor Union, Anganwadi Employees’ Union and Vocational Teachers’ Front, took out protest marches in the town against the

AAP government.

Only a few activists of the 1158 Assistant Professor Union and the Linesmen Union could reach outside the rally venue. However, they were forcibly bundled into a vehicle and detained by cops.
