Punjab AAP MPs failed to raise crucial issues: Partap Singh Bajwa
Chandigarh, July 19
Congress Legislature Party leader Partap Singh Bajwa today slammed AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs for not raising crucial issues, including the state’s claim over Chandigarh, ‘centralisation’ of Panjab University, SYL canal, farmers’ problems and introduction of the Agnipath scheme, which will reduce the state’s representation in the Army from 7.8% to 2%.
Bajwa said the MPs protested over the denial of visa to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, but did not raise Punjab-centric issues. “It is a betrayal of Punjab’s interests,” he said.
The AAP MPs also ignored the issue of changes in representation of the Bhakra Beas Management Board, inflation, unemployment and even attack on freedom of speech and expression by banning a track of Sidhu Moosewala, said Bajwa.
