AAP lists 5 ‘guarantees’ for Amritsar
Ahead of the Municipal Corporation elections, AAP announced five ‘guarantees’ for Amritsar while launching its campaign here today.
Giving details, state AAP president Aman Arora said the operation of 100 electric buses to make Amritsar pollution-free, the construction of a sewage treatment plant (STP) worth Rs 100 crore, ensuring clean drinking water for all, cleaning Tung Bhai Bala drain and providing affordable housing to the poor were the party’s guarantees to the voters. He also declared that work on these guarantees would commence on the very first day of the AAP Mayor taking charge.
Arora said these guarantees were not mere election promises, but firm commitments to the people of Amritsar. “Our guarantees have been designed after consultations with experts, taking feedback from party workers and drawing extensive input from the public. The aim is to provide permanent solutions to the basic issues faced by the city,” he said.

Arora said AAP would ensure clean and uninterrupted water supply across Amritsar. “Plans will also be developed to conserve groundwater resources for future. Similarly, the long-standing issue of Tung Bhai Bala drain will also be resolved on a priority,” he added.
