A total of 67 aspirants, whose nominations were rejected for the posts of sarpanch and panch, today filed separate complaints at the SSP office.

Accompanied by Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, the complainants sought action against Muktsar Deputy Commissioner, Gidderbaha SDM, several returning officers (ROs) and assistant returning officers (AROs). Warring said, “A case should be registered against the Deputy Commissioner, Gidderbaha SDM, ROs and AROs for rejecting nominations of aspirants owing allegiance to the Congress.”
