The police have forfeited Rs 3.25-crore assets in connection with 10 drug trafficking cases in Faridkot and Moga districts. In Daulewala village of Moga, assets worth Rs 2,33,76,000 were forfeited in a case under the NDPS Act. Four persons were booked for possessing around 240 kg poppy husk in that case. In Faridkot, the police attached assets worth Rs 91,67,822 in nine cases of drug smuggling.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
