250 beneficiaries avail services at suvidha camp in Malerkotla
The administration claims to have redressed grievances of all complainants visiting the suvidha camp held under the ‘Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’ campaign at Manvi village of Amargarh sub-division today.
Majority of the complaints were related to updating revenue records for demanding compensation for land acquired by the government under NHAI, smart cards, pensions, schools and MNREGA.
Officials of the Education Department, Food and Supply Department, Revenue Department, Health Department, Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Child Development Project Officer and Agriculture Department had put up stalls to redress issues related to their respective department.
Officials in various departments were advised to expedite action on complaints, which had remained unaddressed due to technical reasons.
Deputy Commissioner Pallavi said a camp had been organised at Manvi village for expeditious redressal of problems faced by residents. Around 250 beneficiaries from nearby localities visited the camp, wherein officials of as many as 16 government departments had set up stalls. Organisers claimed that all complaints received during the event were either redressed or a process for the same was initiated.
The personnel concerned were advised to initiate the process for undertaking repairs of public utility premises at Manvi village.
Amargarh SDM Surinder Kaur, DSP Davinder Singh Sandhu, DEO (S) Jaswinder Kaur Grewal and BDPO Krishan Kumar supervised the action taken on complaints.
Showing satisfaction over the outcome of the camp, the DC said the administration had also exploited the occasion for spreading awareness about causes and consequences of social evils, including drug addiction, gender bias, domestic violence and illiteracy.
