All arrangements have been made for the Barnala Assembly byelection scheduled to be held tomorrow.

District Election Officer (DEO)-cum-Deputy Commissioner (DC) Punamdeep Kaur said the polling would take place from 7 am to 6 pm.

There are 1,80,088 voters — 94,957 male, 85,127 female and four transgender voters — in the constituency. Of these, 636 are service voters, including 621 male and 15 female.

There are 212 polling booths and 84 polling locations. As many as 1,064 civilian employees and 1,100 security personnel have been deployed for smooth and peaceful conduct of elections in the constituency.

The polling parties today departed for their respective polling booths and polling locations from Government Senior Secondary School, Sandhu Patti, Barnala. The counting of votes will be held on November 23.
