Punjab MLAs brief CM Bhagwant Mann on work done so far
Chandigarh, April 18
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today held a meeting with AAP MLAs at his residence and received reports from them about the work done in the past one month.
Nearly a dozen MLAs shared reports from their respective areas on the work done and the difficulties they were facing, particularly in convincing people to wait for some time to see the desired results.
In the meeting on the existing and planned projects with Mann, the MLAs also gave the public feedback on the officers deployed in their respective areas. They talked about problems that people faced in getting their routine work done.
Payal MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura presented a report on the problems being faced by the victims of the 1984 Sikh riots at different places all over the state. He talked about the special ‘Red Cards’ for 1984 victims having been suspended for a very big number of people. He also talked about the riot victims staying in Mohali being asked to clear their accommodation and those in Ludhiana also facing problems. He presented a separate report on his constituency Payal, highlighting that despite being home to former Chief Ministers (Beant Singh and Gian Singh Rarewala), the segment had not got any importance in developmental projects.
Batala MLA Amansher Singh (Shery Kalsi), said: “The CM is having meeting with a small group of MLAs to know the ground situation and the pace of delivery of services in all areas. We met last week. We are showing our work done during the past one month and the factual position of existing realties on ground.” — TNS
