To avoid traffic chaos in and around the venue, the Commissionerate Police had also announced a traffic diversion plan for the busy Ludhiana-Chandigarh highway, on which the rally venue was located.

While vehicles coming from Chandigarh towards Ludhiana will be diverted from the Neelon canal bridge towards the Doraha bypass to enter Ludhiana, traffic from Ludhiana towards Chandigarh will be re-routed through Sherpur Chowk towards Doraha to reach the Neelon canal bridge for heading towards Chandigarh.
