Punjab, Chandigarh telecom subscribers suffer major network outages

Telcos subscribers faces network outages for 2-3 hours in Punjab

Subscribers of major telecom companies in the Punjab circle comprising Chandigarh and Punjab reported network outages around noon.
As a result, they faced call disruption and data connectivity issues. Many users reported no access to the Internet and intermittent reception in connectivity.
According to users, the subscribers of Airtel and Vodafone Idea were impacted. A majority of subscribers complained about data services and some subscribers even reported network outage, especially during voice calls, even at the time of filing this report. Many took to social media to highlight their plight. One of the Navdeep Singh wrote on X,” Calling system down in my area since 2 to 3 hours. Kindly solve the issue. Areas including Khanna, Mandi Gobindgarh & Amloh. @airtelinndia”
According to sources, the subscribers are facing issues because of 5G core issues. Sources further said that the telcos are working on the issues and will be rectified soon.”
However,  official communication regarding the issue was not received, till the filing of the report, despite being made attempt.
