The agitating employees have declared that they would observe Republic Day as ‘Day of Slavery’ and stage a protest in Patti town with black flags. The Kisan Sangharsh Committee, Punjab (Kot Budha) and the Kirti Kisan Union besides other employee and farmer unions have extended their support to the agitating employees. Bikramjit Singh, Satnam Singh, Ravinder Singh, Manjit Singh Batala and other employee leaders, while addressing the dharna, said that the leaders of the ruling AAP had assured of their reinstatement in case the party forms its government in the state, a promise on which they reneged. The employee leaders said that Laljit Singh Bhullar, Cabinet Minister, had held a meeting with the officials to reinstate them but nothing has been done so far. The agitating employees have warned that they would fight till they get justice.
