The 65th Panjab University Inter-Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival began at DAV College, Hoshiarpur, with a grand inauguration ceremony. The event was inaugurated by Hoshiarpur Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, who lit the lamp during the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest.

Anoop Kumar, president of the college managing committee, welcomed the guests and wished luck to the participants. In his address, college principal Vinay Kumar said students from over 200 colleges were participating in various events throughout the festival. The opening session featured a series of cultural performances, including shabad, bhajan, classical vocal music, group songs, solo songs, folk songs, ghazals as well as several off-stage events such as creative writing and beautiful handwriting competitions.

In classical dance, Taranjot of SCD Government College, Ludhiana, got the first rank while Rupanshi and Pooja of PGGCG College in Sector 11, Chandigarh, got the second and third positions, respectively.
