Panjab University Asst Prof Dr Anil Kumar dies of Covid, 14 new cases in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, December 20
The city on Monday reported 14 cases of Covid-19 and one death due to the virus. Dr Anil Kumar, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Laws, Panjab University, died due to Covid-19. The 45-year-old resident of Sector 14, a case of chronic kidney disease and hypothyroidism, died at the PGI. He was hospitalised since November 21. He was fully vaccinated.
Mohali sees 1 death, one fresh case
Mohali: One more person succumbed to Covid in the district in the past 24 hours, taking the toll to 1,074. Only one case was reported, while 12 patients were cured of the disease. Of the 69,067 cases reported from the district so far, 67,951 patients have been cured. There are now 42 active cases.
2 fresh Covid cases in Panchkula dist
panchkula: The district reported just two fresh coronavirus cases on Monday, taking the overall tally to 30,905. The toll remained at 381. While 30,490 people have recovered from the infectious disease so far, 34 cases are still active. The recovery rate stands at 98.65 per cent.
