The Balh Bachao Sangharsh Samiti has threatened to hold a protest march on June 10 against the decision of the government to construct an airport at Balh in Mandi district.

Residents of the area have been opposing the decision since long because they fear they will lose their agricultural land and commercial properties for the project.

Joginder Walia, president of the samiti, said: “On June 10, the people will stage a protest march. If the state government will not accept our demand, then we will hold a massive protest at Mandi,” he said.
