Dalhousie Public School celebrated its annual prize distribution and investiture ceremony with grandeur today.

Chamba Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal was the chief guest at the event, held at the school.

Dr (Capt) GS Dhillon, the school’s chairman and director, received the guests.

The ceremony commenced with a formal escort of the chief guest, accompanied by a performance by the school band.

A highlight of the event was the declamation competition, where students showcased their eloquence and confidence through thought-provoking speeches.

The ceremony also celebrated student achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. Awards for individual and team excellence were presented, including the house trophies, which honoured teamwork and school spirit.

Special class trophies recognised exceptional all-round achievements.

At the investiture ceremony, Aryan Bhakri was appointed as school captain, while Anushka Kuhad assumed the role of head girl for the year.

Among individual recognitions, Piyush Raj received the Best Student (Boy) Award, and Doli was named the Best Student (Girl). The Sandeep Trophy for Discipline was awarded to Rana and Gandhi Houses among boys, and to Shivaji House among girls.

Cultural performances added vibrancy to the celebrations, with a captivating Rajasthani dance performance and a soulful rendition by the school band leaving the audience spell-bound.

In his address, Repaswal commended the school’s dedication to academic excellence.

He congratulated the awardees and inspired all students to pursue their dreams with integrity.
