With an intent to sensitise the students of classes VI to VIII to the significance of the UN and its agencies, the MUN General Assembly session marking the UN Day was held in special assembly on the school campus. There was a discussion on rules and regulations along with proceedings from Roll Call to Adjournment of the MUN. Also, the students were told about diplomacy, negotiations along with global issues such as Israel-Palestine issue, Ukraine-Russia conflict, Israel-Iran issue, India-Pakistan Kashmir issue, climate change, terrorism, cyber security, human rights, food security, tension in South China Sea and degradation of natural resources by the representatives of various nations. The students were enlightened how resolutions get passed in General Assembly to sort out the world problems and how General Assembly exerts pressure on the countries to maintain peace and security in the world. The simulation of the United Nations ignited the young Pratapians to develop the global prospective on world problems. Principal Dr Puja Walia Maan applauded the event and enthused the learners to pave the way to global citizenship.
