Power supply to JCT Mill Labour Colony cut off

The residents of JCT Labour Colony organised a protest in front of the SDM office today regarding suspension of electricity supply in the colony over non-payment of bill by the JCT Mill management.

The union leaders, under the leadership of Ajay Kumar, president, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh JCT Mill, stated that the electricity supply to Labour Colony had been cut off by the PSPCL due to the non-payment of electricity bill amounting to Rs 3.5 crore today in the morning. The union leaders alleged that the responsibility for this lay with the mill management.

Later, they submitted a memorandum in this regard to the XEN, Phagwara, Hardeep Kumar, who assured them that appropriate measures would be taken.
