Potential-linked credit plan for Mohali launched

A potential-linked credit plan (PLP) for Mohali district was launched by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Rajiv Gupta during the District Consultative Committee meeting held at the District Administrative Complex here today.
It was launched in the presence of Srikrishna Biswas, AGM, Lead District Office, RBI, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, District Development Manager, NABARD, Upkaar Singh, Chief Lead District Manager, PNB, and Ravi Kant Bajaj, Director, PNB-R-SETI, Mohali.
Divulging details, Rajiv Gupta said the plan was prepared by NABARD every year. The total credit potential under the priority sector has been estimated at Rs7,314.53 crore for the financial year 2021-22, which is 6 per cent increase compared with the previous year i.e. 2020-21.
Gupta said the theme of the potential-linked credit plan 2021-22 was “collectivisation of agriculture produce for enhancing farmer’s income”.
Gupta said the highlights of NABARD’s PLP for financial year 2021-22 include total credit potential under the priority sector as Rs7,314.53 crore, projection in agriculture and allied activities 40 per cent that is Rs3,589.80 crore, on MSME 40 per cent (non-farm sector) which is equivalent to Rs2,458.68 crore and on other priority sector 20 per cent that is about Rs1,266.55 crore.
